ANB Tokyo / 4F, 3F, 2F

“Debugging Landscapes”
The mirror world, a world where the digital and
physical coexist, may arrive in the near future.
Such a world combines the operating systems
for accessing the physical and digital,
blurring the boundaries. Its ambiguity resonates
between the real and the imaginary,
the past and the future, the ordinary and
the extraordinary, and even life and death.
In the mirror world, the frays in
the physical world we know as social
problems and survival strategies will continue
to plague people as bugs in the system we must access.
In this world, to debug is to ponder and to raise questions.
We will one day see such a future.
It will expand us and show us new scenery.
How will our hopes for this world in
the near-future take form?
We expect this exhibition to provide a glimpse of this
“debugging ” through the eyes of
six leading contemporary artists in Japan.

ABOUT GEMINI LABORATORY

GEMINI Laboratory powered by TOPPAN
Gemini is a co-creation project & community for mirror worlds, consisting of three units.

Community

We will hold salons and events online and offline to create venues where everyone can participate and contribute to mirror worlds, transcending restrictions and disparities. We aim to create a co-creation space transcending realms to realize mirror worlds that offer fulfilling experiences.

Prototype

Mirror worlds tend to be visual. We aim to expand them to all five senses, broadening the possibilities. To this end, we will actively collaborate with external parties to develop prototypes that bring surprises and open doors to new possibilities.

Drive

We drive businesses and the future to ensure the generated ideas and prototypes provide a high-definition, safe, and creative experience that leaves room for creativity. We aim to democratize the mirror world.
